Tyvek Wristbands

What are Tyvek Wristbands?
Tyvek® is a registered trademark of Dupont for a synthetic material that is manufactured in sheets. Tyvek, made of high-density polyethylene fibers, is stronger than paper and cheaper than fabric. Because of these qualities, the material is extremely useful for a number of practical applications, including use as wristbands.
Tyvek wristbands are flexible, lightweight, strong, and resistant to water and abrasion. These qualities make the wristbands versatile for identification purposes at a myriad of events such as concerts, fairs, school and religious functions, and clubs. Patron recognition is quick and secure because the wristbands are non-transferable and designed for one-time use only. Tyvek wristbands can be used for crowd management, age ID, height restrictions, special privileges, and catering service identification.
Tyvek wristbands come in a variety of standard colors and designs, pre-designed motifs, or with bar coded features. They are designed to be adjustable and to close with a snap, button or adhesive tab. A number of companies offer customized Tyvek wristbands for your special event or private party; you simply choose the color, design and any pertinent information you wish to have printed on your wristbands. Some Tyvek wristband companies allow you to upload your own artwork to have imprinted on your wristbands. Online ordering makes purchasing the wristbands easy, and economic — standard orders are normally shipped within days.
Because of its strength and durability, Tyvek® is extremely useful for a wide variety of products besides wristbands. These products range from mailing envelopes and packaging to signs and banners to protective clothing. Tyvek® products can also be recycled, which means that they are environmentally-friendly.
Whenever you are planning an event where it is critical that only those entitled to attend are allowed inside the venue, consider ordering Tyvek wristbands. Requiring the attendees to wear these wristbands will make your event more secure, safe, and if applicable - profitable.

Wristbands: An Event Planner's Best Friend

Whether you're planning an event for 100 or 10,000, wristbands are an invaluable tool in making sure your event runs smoothly. In fact, whether you choose Tyvek wristbands, paper wristbands, custom wristbands, plastic wristbands, or vinyl wristbands, simply using these simple identifiers can alleviate a number of potential problems during your event. The versatility of wristbands means that you can use them anytime you need a visual identifier. Here are some examples of the myriad of ways you can use wristbands: Age or height identifier: Wristbands can be used at venues to identify minors in order to prevent them from purchasing alcoholic beverages. They can also be used in amusement parks when there are height restrictions to certain rides. Tyvek wristbands have the advantage of being waterproof, and so can be used for water parks. Admissions: When you use wristbands, you can sell day passes for events or amusements. Guests will appreciate not having to fumble for tickets, and workers will save time by easily identifying those who have paid for a pass. If you are holding a conference that spans several days, you can use wristbands of a different color each day so that registrars can tell at a glance whether the attendee is registered for a given day's events. Child-Parent Protection: Twin wristbands are ideal for situations where it's necessary to identify parents of children. Daycare centers, preschools, and amusement venues for small children all need to ensure that a child is leaving with an adult who is his or her parent or guardian. Group Day Trips: Whether it's a school field trip or a day trip to a casino, it's important to be able to identify those with your group. Being able to check wristbands ensure that the proper individuals are boarding the proper busses, and allow for an easy head count to make sure no one is left behind. Commemoration: If you're planning Red Ribbon Week at a school, you can issue wristbands to those students who pledge to participate. Likewise, you can use wristbands as a way for people who have committed to a cause or an ideal to self-identify. Wristbands are made from a number of different materials, such as Tyvek wristbands, paper wristbands, plastic wristbands, and vinyl wristbands. Which material you choose depends upon your budget and the type of event you're planning. Best of all, wristbands can be easily customized. Although there are a number of preprinted wristbands on the market, you can order custom wristbands with the name of your company or event. Custom wristbands can also include bar codes, logos, and other special text.

Flexo Concepts To Exhibit At SuperCorrExpo®2004

Plymouth, MA, September 30, 2004. Flexo Concepts, manufacturers of TruPoint™ brand doctor blades announced today they will be showcasing their Graphix™ and DuraPoint™ products at SuperCorrExpo®2004 in Atlanta, Georgia. The show runs from November 8-12 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Flexo Concepts will exhibit its Graphix doctor blade for the first time on a national level. The blade is a multilayer composite material with specialty fillers for abrasion resistance. Exceptional stiffness and an extremely thin wiping tip deliver high quality metering on anilox rolls with high line counts. The blade is ideal for corrugated printers who want to replace steel or fiberglass, and is more cost effective than other graphite blades on the market.
Also on display will be DuraPoint, the next generation of UHMW plastic doctor blades. DuraPoint was designed for applications that have used standard white UHMW plastic but now require greater blade life. A proprietary formulation increases blade life by up to 30% more than white UHMW and gives DuraPoint its black color.
Samples of Graphix and DuraPoint can be requested at the company’s booth (#1432) during the show or on their website at www.flexoconcepts.com.
